The Senior Care Boom

Caregivers and aides play a major role in improving the quality of life for those who are not chronically ill yet require some type of in-home supervision and assistance. The 2000 Census reported that the value of companion services was estimated at $6.4 billion and is expected to increase up past $8 billion as the Baby Boomer generation continues to age. Seniors prefer to stay in the comfort of their own home; it is called “Aging in Place.”

The US Census Bureau concluded that “The elderly population is becoming the fastest-growing segment of our country.” In 2010 the US population of those age 65 or older was 35 million strong. By 2030 that number will be 70 million. A vast majority of adult children live hundreds of miles away from their families, making providing aid extremely hard. You can help provide relief to families in need by establishing your new business.
